  MORNING SPEAKER & WORKSHOP SPEAKER:
Tom Dickerson

Tom Dickerson is senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of North Plainfield. Tom was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1958, but was raised in Plainfield, NJ. He came to know Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior at the North Shore Christian Fellowship in Hawaii while in the U.S. Army at age 19. His hunger for the Word of God led him to Valley Forge Christian College where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible in 1984 and more recently a Master’s Degree from Trinity Biblical University in 2004. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Biblical Studies. This fellowship began as a Bible Study in his home in 1989 and has seen God’s faithfulness to raise up a church that affects North Plainfield and the surrounding communities.

While Pastor Tom’s focus has been on expositional teaching, he also has a strong heart for missions and has traveled throughout the world spreading the gospel and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. He has been blessed with his wife Amy for 24 years, and they have three children, Steven, David, and Bethany.

  EVENING SPEAKER & WORKSHOP SPEAKER:
Thomas Wong

I was born in Vietnam during the war. Seven years later, my brother and I were sent out of the country with my aunt as war refugees and would not be reunited with my family for another five years. When I was finally reunited with my parents and family 5 years later and though they brought us to church, I became quite rebellious during my teenage years. But through attending a youth retreat my senior year in high school, the Lord changed my heart and there, recognizing I was a sinner in need of forgiveness, He saved my soul and has ever since been restoring my life.

During my second year of studying accounting at the University of Maryland, I became increasingly discontent with my vision for life. Then through attending a missions conference at my home church, I became convicted that my life needed to be fully surrendered to the lordship of Christ. So in 1993, the Lord opened the door for me to attend Moody Bible Institute and confirmed His leading through my pastor, parents, family members and church family.

I married Suzanne (Epps) in May 1994 who was a fellow student of mine at Moody Bible Institute. Since that time, we have given birth to four boys; Zachariah (11), Elijah (9), Micah (6) and Jeremiah (11 months). Our family life includes piano lessons, cello lessons, rec soccer, trips to the shore and enjoying life with friends and family. Eating, praying, playing and serving together have always been a priority in our family life and Suzy is a wonderful mother that provides an example of grace, compassion and godliness for our children. She is the love of my life and by God's grace my sons will grow to be men of faith who will contend for the gospel and who love the Lord with all of their heart, mind and strength.

They also worked as missionaries for sixteen years in Indonesia, Costa Rica, Peru, and Ecuador. She also helped to supervise mission teams from Great Britain.

The Stuarts are in their third year of teaching on the faculty of Nyack College. Ed teaches in the Intercultural Department and Sally teaches Spanish. Ed and Sally have had the privilege of leading a number of short-term teams to Peru, Indonesia, and China. Wendell Wyatt Wendell committed his life to Christ as a college student towards the end of the "Jesus Movement" of the 70's. He worked in Corporate IT for two years, after which he went to Bible School.

It was in the Asian Missionary Prayer Group where the seed was planted that ultimately grew into long term service at NY Christian Testimony Church as a pastor.

His wife Julie is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and they recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary.

Wendell & Julie have two daughters: Nicole in Fashion Merchandising and Sarah will be a senior at "The King's College".

Pastor Dan Ho came to the United States with his family in 1965. He grew up in New York City and came to know the Lord at the age of 13 during the 1970's revival. He attended Nyack College and received a B.A. in Religion. The following year, he attended the Alliance Theological Seminary. Barb grew up in the NYC suburban town of Huntington, Long Island. She too attended Nyack College. They were married in 1979 and began their ministry the following year in Manhattan. In October 1982 they were called by the Lord to start the Queens Christian Alliance Church. They have two sons, Ryan, who is a 4th year student at Dallas Theological Seminary and Andrew, who is finishing college. Their passion is to reach the immigrant community of the New York City area, especially the second generation. They also have a passion for missions, particularly in Eastern Europe. Pastor Dan and Barb believe deeply that the "Great Commission" involves Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.
