  WORKSHOP I:
A Practical Application of Reconciliation in a Broken World - Jack Crabtree
This is the "lab" class of Jack Crabtree's morning talks on reconciliation. Be prepared to get involved in some group activities that will demonstrate the challenges we face as reconcilers in a broken world. It is the goal of this workshop that every participant will walk out with a clearly defined plan of reconciliation for either a real personal or cultural situation in their life. This is the "life-application" approach to reconciliation---now what do I do?

Sex, Singleness, Dating and Marriage - Claude Hubbard
Perhaps no other topic touches the heart and raises questions like 'relationships'. It is a topic smothered in church tradition, cultural expectations, and social misinformation. Inject our own raging hormones and the result is—angst. But what does the Bible have to say about sex, dating and marriage? Can a document that is thousands of years old shed any light in this vital area of our lives? Come and find out why God's word brings us the answers we need and the peace we seek.

From Rut to Revival - Tom Dickerson
Keeping the fire going. Many career folks are lukewarm. They are either comfortable with work and life or lost and there's no passion for God. They have a routine, go to church, spend time with God, find a good job, family. And then what? Let's find out...

Discerning God's Call to Ministry - Wendell Wyatt
There are a lot of voices in the world suggesting what you should be doing with your life. This workshop is intended specifically for those who believe that God might be calling them for "full-time" or "part-time" service to the Lord. We'll wrestle with some questions like:
  • How can you tell?
  • What are some of the main issues and how can they be resolved?
  • What are some of the distractions and pitfalls?
  • What steps can be taken to prepare?

We'll explore some of the ways of God to mobilize His people for a life of service!

  OPTIONAL SEMINARS:
Marriage Seminar - Elissa Lin Rathe
As a psychotherapist, Elissa has helped many couples to better communicate, negotiate and grow in intimacy in their marriages. The three typical problems every couple encounters are money, time and intimacy. This workshop will focus on enhancing communication skills, and work on how to negotiate being partners and teammates with one another. Some of the other topics that will be covered are how the couple might want to better spend/use their time and money. Additionally, the workshop will be conducted in a fluid manner to better tailor-make the workshop to the attendees' needs.

*This workshop is open to engaged and married couples only.

Why Anyone Can Be A Small Group Leader - Claude Hubbard
Ever been asked to be a small group or bible study leader? Have you ever thought about it? Do you think that you are the last person on earth who should be leading a small group? This seminar is for you. Far from being "super Christians", small group leaders need only a heart for Christ and a desire to serve Him and others. We will explore what a small group leader is, and what he or she does (the answers will surprise you). Biblical guidance on small group structure and content will be discussed, as well as techniques for conducting a small group meeting. Come join us for the fun!

Prayer & Fasting - Madeliene Apuzen
Prayer is God's gift to his children. To communicate with him is the highest privilege. We may have the petition we ask, for indeed He answers our prayers. But the most important thing about prayer is that when we pray and fast (feast on His Word), we can have an intimate relationship with God and experience the fullness of joy the world has ever known.

Beyond Becoming a Contagious Christian: Helping Your Friends Catch the Disease* - Anna Lee
Ok, you're a small group leader, you've shared the gospel, and now what?!? Wondering how to help your friends cross the line into the Kingdom? Thinking about evangelism outside of the box? Come learn basics on how to move friends from trusting, to seeking, to believing; how to lead a friend to Christ; and how to seal the deal.

*This workshop is required for all small group leaders unless your pastor/church leader exempts you from it.
